I'm building a team for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night. This will be the third year my team is walking for people very close to our hearts. In May of 2017, my friend Paula was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. I had only heard about it and knew what it was because my friend's mother, Lorraine, was also diagnosed with it in 2010. When someone you love goes through this they need support, that's when I discovered Light the Night and created Angela Marie's Army. Money raised through Light The Night allows The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to fund treatments for patients who are suffering from all forms of blood cancers. In 2018, LLS helped advance 19 of 21 approved blood cancer therapies. Beating cancer is in their blood. On October 19th, our team is walking for our survivor Paula, who is in remission, and in remembrance of Lorraine. We walk in support to them and everyone who has been affected by blood cancers. We do it to raise money for research and to help bring light to the darkness of blood cancers. We walk for a cure. In the last 2 years, as a team we've raised a combined total of $3,911. This year I hope to top that. Please consider joining us and walking, or supporting us in our fundraising efforts.
Thanks for your support!
